bclegg… Members on this site have been to all three. I personally went to Mayo in Rochester, MN. Although it was quite a while ago, I still hear great reviews of the oncology and surgical areans. I to went mayo due to proximity and cost at the time And my doctor knew this doctor and that doctor knew that doctor and that doctor was married to that doctor. I was having surgery within a week of diagnosis. Wish you the very best possible. It is quite amazing what can be done these days.

Looking to go to a major hospital for a second opinion, and have boiled it down to Sloan-Kettering, John Hopkins, and Mayo clinic.
At this point, is it more about cost and proximity to home than medical care? I would think the difference among these three hospitals in regard to treating cc is minimal. Anyone care to comment? Deffently worth reading or watching the episodes! The series of episode are actually funded by major chemo and radiological companies of current infor. Also, supported by Major Cancer Centers and Steven Rosenberg, National Cancer Institute of America. A little more wham for your demand.

I was denied treatment after my first surgery because of statistics and it appears I will have to have another surgery as it has come back. I am going to print this out and wave it under the nose of my doctor and DEMAND radiation.

This article is interesting but certainly not conclusive in the respective outcome of added radiation after a resection. 2,591 cases were sorted into surgery, radiotherapy, surgery and radiation or not any of the above treatment. It also, does not specify as to whether chemotherapy was used. It is however, noteworthy to bring to the attention of the physician.
