Ladies, I am totally in awe and amazed by what you and those original members accomplished. It’s hard for me to comprehend that when I signed on in 2008, only 2 years previous there was so little information and only 15 members on this board. Since then things have just really been growing in leaps and bounds, both with the amount of people signing on and all the information that is now available. Although, it is sad that so many need this information and support, it is good that it is here for those that seek it. Hopefully some day this disease will be stopped in it’s tracks. For now, I agree with Lainy, together we are a force to be reckoned with. :) Yes, there is hope.

Agree, Lainy. Just think of how little information was available for this cancer when our husbands were diagnosed. In fact, in 2006 virtually everything had to be pulled from PubMed, there were a handful of studies and few clinical trials available for CCA patients. And, not to forget, the discussion board members were less than 15 in all.

A big, huge thank you to Gavin for posting the ASCO 2014 abstracts. There has been a steadily increasing interest and focus on the disease of Cholangiocarcinoma. In fact, this year’s presentation of CCA related abstracts by far succeeds anything ever published on ASCO’s site. Good news.
