Thank you Marion. This is great news and the specific booth sounds very encouraging. Hopefully your feet will not get too sore, and yes, roller skates sound like a very good idea indeed!

    Hugs,

    Gavin

Yes, it is an annual event and for the next 10 years it will be held in Chicago whereas in previous years it had rotated between Orlando and Chicago.

And, it is huge. McCormick Place is so big that often times I had wished for roller skates in order to navigate the different locations of symposiums. Definitely, I can count on some aching feet at the end of the day.

The American Society of Clinical Oncology has been especially receptive to our goal of finding a cure for this cancer. If you remember the upcoming webinar, on Wednesday, is led by a member of their Conquer Cancer Foundation (formerly The ASCO Cancer Foundation) with whom we have partnered in The Young Investigator Award. This award is designed to encourage and promote high-quality research in clinical oncology. In our case, it will be disease specific to Cholangiocarcinoma.

Although, we have had in the past years the opportunity to occupy a booth at the annual ASCO event. This time however, we have been allotted a specific, very desirable location sponsored by ASCO. Only 20 advocate locations are awarded each year, and we are fortunate to be amongst the select few.

Excellent stuff Marion, sounds very exciting! And I am sure that the booth will be a great success. Is this a annual thing in Chicago every year?

We are pleased to have been notified that The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation has been accepted for participation in the ASCO-Sponsored Patient Advocacy Booth.

The ASCO annual meeting is the premier event for oncology professionals including, researchers, physicians, pharmaceutical companies and advocates amongst others. Abstracts are submitted from the world wide community.

The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation will be represented by several of our members including, our board members.

For those living in the Chicago area please, consider meeting up with some of us for dinner at a place convenient to all. Barbara (roma) her Mom Stella and Patty (tiapatty) and I have done so in the past and we are looking forward to doing so again.
It was last year that our Linda Z also joined in. She will be greatly missed.

    Love to all,
    Marion
