    Hi,
I am beginning the trial at Ohio State. Based on the information that they provided me they are looking for 35 patients to take part. I believe that I may be number 19, they said they are also administiring the medication out of Baylor. My oncologist and adminstrator of the trial is Dr. Tanios Bekaii-Saab. I will updated once I start the trial, which hopefully is Friday, if all the stars finally align, and the Cleveland Clinic sends my tissue samples.

Hi Dmann2 and Jenn, I have researched this treatment through Massey’s cancer Center. From what I understand ,it is a phase II trial being conducted under the NCI protocol 7909 and Primary Investigator: Lee,Ruey Min. Are we talking about the same location or are you guys trying this some where else? If it has NCI protocol, I imagine it can be tried at several locations. Members would love to know location, as It shows trial is still open. We certainly would like to hear your experiences as well. Wish you both only the best with your outcomes of treatments.
    God Bless,
    Jeff G.

Hi, I am brand new to this site. I will be starting AZD6244 next Friday. I will be able to offer my experiences after that. I am very curious to know how Dan continues to do on this medication. Where are you being treated? Thanks- Jenn

Who else amongst us is trying this innovative oral chemo AZD6244? Dan is in his first week and suffering explosive diarrhea, nausea and dry mouth. There was one episode of emesis. Anti-nausea meds eliminated that symptom. Lethargy and sleepiness are apparent as well. Appetite seems fine…weight is steady thus far. I am interested in others experience with this trial drug. Thanks- Sandy
