    Hi Tiff,

Yes it is exciting and my fingers are crossed that much good will come from it over the coming years. And like you too though, I wish that it covered GI cancers as well.

Huge hugs coming back to you too my friend,

    Gavin

Thanks for the link Eli. Yes this program doesn’t target CC or other hepatobiliary cancers initially. But lets hope and keep our fingers crossed that much will come of this first program and that what is found here can then be applied and used to help research, treat, fight, diagnose earlier etc other cancers such as CC etc.

“We will continue to direct resources and funding to all types of cancers, both common and rare.”

I take hope from that quote from the video and so hope that what is said happens over time.

$3bn to be spent on this program. Here’s a video link to an interview with Dr. Ronald Depinho, MD Anderson Cancer Center that I saw on CNBC earlier tonight. Well worth a watch IMO.

Again it doesn’t mention CC, but he talks about the program etc and what they hope to achieve from it so well worth a watch IMO.

    Thanks, Gavin.

Here’s an article about this new program. The program does not target CC or any other hepatobiliary cancers. At least not initially.

3.42 into the video – “What we learn with these first moon shot programs will advance our knowledge for all other cancers. We will continue to direct resources and funding to all types of cancers, both common and rare.”

    Lets hope so!!!!
