Bone mets – what’s going to happen after?

Hi all, my dad’s CC has metastasized to his bones and he had radiation to control the tumors while the ONC started him on 5-FU and Avastin. His platelet count is too low to receive Abraxane which the doctor originally planned. The chemo is making him very tired and constipated, and the spinal cord compression has severely limited his range of motions. Other than the bones, the rest of his body is clear.
The pain is a big problem, but he’s more concerned on what’s going to happen after. Has anyone experienced bone mets and what’s going to happen after? What’s the probability of regaining full range of motions?
