Dearest Lainy,
I just read your reply to my post. Before that, I was about to respond to your post before my internet connection decided to go bonkers.
Anyway, now that I’m connected again, thank you so much for your usual helpful advice. And I’m so sorry to hear about your recent roller coaster ride! You are one of the most compassionate and loving person I have had the luck to “meet” on this site, and I’m sending you so much warm thoughts & hoping that you are well again soon.
With much love,
CarolineFebruary 19, 2014 at 8:04 pm #79785darlaSpectatorLainy,
Hope they can get you all sorted out and back to “normal”, what ever that is.
As for the book, I’m breathing a sigh of relief. I did get a good start, but like you, other things got in the way and I had been thinking I better get to it again soon. So, having it on hold is a good thing.
Can’t wait to hear about the Psychic visit, but for now, take care of yourself and we will all be here when you are up to it.
Let us know how things are going when you can.
Love & Hugs,
DarlaFebruary 19, 2014 at 7:28 pm #79784lainySpectatorThank you Andie and for our newbies Andie was with us quite a while and I adored her from her first post.
Thanks Gavin, my son from another mother.
And thanks to Kris, humor appreciated you know me too well. Last summer I went to Milwaukee and spent some time at a friends Lake cottage and Kris drove from Pennsylvania to Milwaukee to spend a few days with me. We had never met but hit it off immediately! When you see us refer to bad egg rolls it was because one night we went Chinese and the egg roll were only filled with canned cabbage! OMG they were so bad. I never laughed so hard.
This is some site, if I might brag, especially if you are a patient! Love you all right back.
P.S. Sorry but I am going to have to put our book of Believers to rest until I am done with all this. By the way, went back to my Psychic as I took my Sister in law when she was visiting me. Have stuff to tell you but will save it for when my energy is UP.February 19, 2014 at 7:17 pm #79783kris00jSpectatorLainy, you need to stop this!! You aren’t supposed to be in the running for most problems (I know, bad attempt at humor!)
Of COURSE we all want to know how you are doing… After all, you are one of our mothers with your help and concern.
Get yourself all better soon. And PLEASE, PLEASE keep us posted on how you are. I’m sending prayers for a quick, flawless successful outcome.
Love you!February 19, 2014 at 7:13 pm #79782gavinModeratorHow could we ever think that you were abandoning the ship!!! You know I’ve got my fingers crossed for you for Friday Momma and hope that all goes well with everything. Thinking of you loads and will be over to make you a cuppa soon!
Huge hug for you,
Gavin

February 19, 2014 at 4:20 pm #9571lainySpectatorI get the weirdest things! Around the middle of Dec. I went to ER as my Blood Pressure jumped to 232 and that has never happened. While in ER they decided to do an EKG (perfect) and a CT of my head. The BP results were to increase my RX, BUT the CT of the head showed a Meningioma Tumor pushing on the left side of the brain. WOW some how more of a shock than when I had my GIST Cancer 5 years ago! I found a great Neurologist and last week went for a test where I had to wear an EEG on my head for 2 days and all I can say is it makes for a great Halloween costume. I go back this Friday to get the results from him and at that time he will most likely call a Neuro Surgeon for me to see. The tumor is benign and for that I am thankful. Apparently it occurs in women from 50 – 70 years old (like I need a reminder I am getting older?).
It needs to come out as it is already interfering with my quality of life. My face is a little lopsided, my right hand and leg are getting weaker and I have been having discomfort daily in the area of the tumor. I just found a great article on this kind of tumor on Google and if interested you can look it up under Skull Base Institute which should pop up if you type in Meningioma. Naturally I am curious if anyone has heard of this.
I was going to write about this earlier but caught one of those 3 week flues (1st time in 10 years) which also set my healing Ulcerative Colitis back about 35%. Happy to say the Remicade Infusion last week has really brought me around on that.
Between all my getting older stuff (LOL) I have not been on site as much as it is very hard to concentrate most of the time so forgive me but it will spotty until this is taken care of. I was going to post earlier but always feel this site is for you not my dumb stuff as we all have other situations. I just didn’t want anyone thinking I was abandoning the ship. There are times I just can’t think so better off not giving advice at those times. Sorry for the long post but now it’s done! I will update when I know more. My best and love to all of you! -
