Hi Molly. We all grieve in different ways so I do not believe there is a right or wrong way. When our loved one passes there are so many plans to be made, so much work to keep our minds busy, then as time goes by it seems to hit us a little harder. Some never cry some cry in spurts as I do since my husband passed December 6, 2010. I can be driving and all of a sudden some tears start running down my cheeks and I think, wow, what caused that? You may not be grieving but you are thinking of her daily and that is a wonderful show of your love and devotion to her. If you are worried about your reaction and that you feel you have not grieved openly you can always contact a grief group or a counselor, many do. I believe your Mom is all around you, just learn to loook for the signs. Moms don’t ever really leave their children. Best wishes to you.
