We us caringbridge.org to update family and friends of my father’s condition. It’s a wonderful way to stay in touch with all the loved ones and it provides a guest book for friends and family to sign in to communicate with the immediate family. I highly recommend this website.
I had learned of this website when dad was first diagnosed with CC. The caringbridge.org website provides the opportunity for people to create a free webpage (to journal, sign guestbook, etc) for those persons affected by critical disease. Because dad was in the service, his friends and our family (immediate and extended) are scattered all over the world – it was a way to keep everyone up to date on dad’s life as well as a venue for everyone to send dad good wishes/thoughts/memories via the guest book. Our family loved it. And I highly recommend it. It also cut down on the amount of time it would take to contact everyone about dad’s progress. People just checked in on his webpage for the latest entry. caringbridge.org
