December 12, 2007 at 9:10 pm #18300bjohnsonSpectatorSeeing Kelly Lester’s picture on “faces of cholangiocarcinoma” made me want to go back and read some of her blog (lesterlink.blogspot.com). I came across a posting from Caroline Stouffer. She said “Joel, thank you for your tribute to Kelly. I have the same wishes when I am gone – that everyone live their life to the fullest and not waste any time being unhappy”.
Doesn’t that sound just like her?? She certainly did that. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

My sincere condolences for your loss, Caroline was one of the first people with whom I connected with when I first found this website, I always admired her strength, courage and ability to appreciate each day throughout her long battle with this disease. I am so very sad to hear that she has passed away.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I loved reading her blog and was rooting for her all the way. She seemed like a wonderful person, full of life. Her loving spirit will be with you always! My prayers are with you. MaryDecember 11, 2007 at 8:42 pm #18296billSpectatorThis is a little shocking. Caroline’s post was one of the first things I read when I discovered this site a year or two ago. I guess I just assumed from her posts and her attitude that she would continue to beat this thing.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.

Jeff G.December 10, 2007 at 10:19 pm #18292amilcarSpectatorThis is such a terrible shock. Caroline was the first person to talk to me when dad got diagnosed. She was always so positive and upbeat. It’s a sad day and I offer my condolences to her family.
