cc and kidney

My Mother has been diagnosed with cc with over 50% of her liver involved as well as she has urethral kidney cancer witha 9 centimeter mass and swollen nodes around her kidney. Additionally, there are small tumors in her lung. She is 78 with a previous history of lung cancer 9 years ago that involved no nodes and all margins were clean and they removed around 1/2 of her right lung. The Doc’s say this is not related, that it is either 2 primary (Bile and Kidney) or a mutated cancer. They want to start her on Gemzal. My question is does anyone have experience with 2 primary locations? With 2 primaries and metastasis to the lungs what approx amount of time do we have? (I understand that this is not a definite but I live in another state and want to spend as much time with her as possible) Lastly, are the side effects of Gemzal worth the try in her situation? (She doesn’t want to be sick during what time she has.) Thanks to anyone who can help with information!!!!
