chemical related

My husband of 35 years and almost 37 in counting, was exposed to many chemicals at his work. I read somewhere that chemicals you were expose to as long 30 years ago can give you cc. We grew up near the banks of the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge, LA in cancer alley. He worked many years in a valve repair shop that they brought valves from all over the state to get worked on. Does anyone know of any connection. No one should have to go through this disease, I haven’t heard of ending up but one way, we had six months, they say that is a long time.
