chemo question

I think it depends on type of chemo. Maybe certain ones have limited max dose but other drugs can be used indefinitely (till it no longer works or side effects are too strong). Hope this helps… Ask your onc nurse too.
Goodday all. I have a question. So I’m on my 5th cycle of gem via. Last scan showed 3cm shrinkage and next scan is Dec 9th. My onc says 2 more cycles of chemo as 8 is usually the limit for people. I thought I’ve read people being on chemo much longer. So her plan is 2 more cycles and then maybe start some liver targeted therapies. My question is, and I know everyone and every case is different but is 8 usually the number of cycles on average?
