I googled: “Grief sessions for childen” and many places popped up. Perhaps you can find one near you. As Lainy mentioned, Hospice is another good resource. Also, see if you can make contact with the school counselor, local clergy (if applicable) and the City itself for possible programs.

Hoping for others in same situtation to come forward and help you out.

I am so very sorry for all of you and have a suggestion. Hospice may have grief sessions for children. I know many adults who are very impressed with Hospice grief groups. The kids will see they are not alone and would be with others they can relate to. With school on vacation this would be a good time to start. Wish I could help, and if I can think of anything else will chime back in.

My 49 year old husband was relieved of his pain on June 17. Since then, I’ve been going through the motions, taking care of the house and the finances, and trying to put together the basics of daily life with 3 children.
My older son is comfort eating, my daughter feels like no one cares about her any more (they aren’t both 11), and my 7 year old is having issues with stomach acid and is barely eating st all. None of us are sleeping well.
I’ve got the kids in therapy to give them another outlet for their feelings. I know it’s only been a few weeks, but I’m terrified of scarring them more than they already are. Having lost their father less than 6 months after diagnosis, I’m sure they have fears about my health (no issues that I am aware of). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
