Does essiac tea work effectively? We have also heard of Gumbi-Gumbi – an aboriginal remedy here in Australia

I drink green tea daily as well, both caffeinated and decaffeinated.

Hi Peter, I think I drank Essiac tea for quite a long time, couple years actually. Probally the longest alternative type stuff I’ve tried in the past years.

I actually drink the regular green tea. The decaffination process of teas and coffees is often fraught with it’s own problems but i gather can also be done well so be aware of your choices.

Jeff, I drank Essiac tea as well although I’ve run out of it now and haven’t ordered more. It was discovered by Objiwa (I think) indians and is recognized by the Canadian equivalent of our FDA.

Jadine….. As peter mentioned in abovve post is about all I know. I have been drinking a cup oor two for a few months now. I use to drink it a while back foe a couple years ago along with essiac tea home made from a lady out in the country but not since she passed away. I guess the antioxidant and anti flammatory effect is what I’m looking at the most.

Is drinking green tea (decaffinated) beneficial after the diagnosis of cholangiacarcinoma?

    Thanks – Jadine

Tea linked to lower risk of bile stones and cancer
10/07/2006- Drinking at least one cup of tea a day could cut the risk of cancer in the gallbladder and bile ducts by about 40 per cent, suggests a population-based study from China.

The news adds to a growing list of benefits that has linked tea and tea extracts, particularly the catechin, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) to reducing the risk of Alzheimer
