    Allison,

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. I think your decision is wonderful to support the facility that cared for him.

It is our intent that the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation be an international organization. That it provide help and assistance to cholangio patients no matter where they reside.

As soon as the website is ready, all the information for giving will be posted.

    Thanks so much,

    Stacie

    just for information

I have found a fund run by leeds university hospital called “Rays of light” this means the money raised will go to the unit that treated him and gave him a chance even though the outcome was not as desired

This also means that the research will concentrate on the UK where information and opinions re CC seem to be quite negative

    Hi Stacie

I have just posted in the remenbrance section about my husband Jon who sadly passed away on 5 Dec. I have already have had lots of enquiries from friends and relatives about the funeral and flowers , myself and my daughters had already decided that he was not a “flowers ” kind of man and would rather that the money spent on them be put to better use and that we would like any money we recieve to go to something directly related to Cholangio and resarch into drugs , treatment etc, . We live in the UK , so I would like your advice on how to go about this

    Many thanks

    Alison

    Thank you Stacie,
we are all in this together, the joy of sharing positive responses , and the heartbreak of those, who leave us behind. May this Foundation become a legacy for everyone touched by this disease.

I’m very happy to announce that the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation is up and running. We have already received several donations for which we are very grateful!

Rick is in the process of creating a website (it will be linked to this one) which will have all of the information that you will want to know about the Foundation.

This has been a very bittersweet few weeks for our family as we have grieved the loss of Hans Grande and Kelly Lester, friends who have been in contact with us from the very beginning of our journey with cholangiocarcinoma. We will miss them and want their families to know that we love them and that our hearts ache with theirs.

We will continue to press forward with the website and the Foundation in the hopes that the brightest minds and most compassionate hearts can come together and make a difference to beat this cancer.

Thanks so much to all who have been so generous with time and resources.

    Stacie
