Lisa…Have you considered going to a nutritionist? I have broken out in different rashes and have been getting some good advice from a nutritionist specializing in herbal remedies for regulating the immune system. I hope during the past 3 weeks since your last post, that you have found some relief. Itching is the worst. I had severe allergic reaction to the chloroprep from the hernia surgery…the itching was almost worse than the surgery itself…could drive a sane person mad. xx00Kathy
July 9, 2013 at 5:31 pm #73420marionsModeratorWillow….we are much like this also in that our immune system is on overdrive. My children suffer from allergies, as do I, my daughter has Colitis and now Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, all immune diseases gone array. We are a physically very active family, eat well (nothing processed and nothing with ingredients I can’t pronounce) and yet we are plagued with this overactive immune system. Go figure.

MarionJuly 9, 2013 at 3:03 pm #73419willowSpectatorHi Lisa,
I am sorry I don’t have any ideas but know I care and can kind of relate as I’ve had huge reactions quite a few times in my life to solvents, bleach, fiberglass insulation and am generally sensitive/allergic to many things, including most sunscreen. Cant imagine whats going on with you! (BTW did you try changing laundry detergents?).I would never give up on you and your goal of good health and physical comfort !

Hope and prayers

LisaJuly 8, 2013 at 6:16 pm #73414marionsModeratorLisa….Integrative medicine comes to mind. This is where I would start:

MarionJuly 8, 2013 at 6:55 am #73413lainySpectatorOh, Lisa, I am so sorry, they must love the skin your in! The only thing is what I recommended before and that is the Sarna Lotion, it was the only thing that helped Teddy from the dreaded Jaundice itch! You would know the results right away as it works quickly.
July 8, 2013 at 4:56 am #8582lisacraineSpectatorMy hives have been around now for about 18 weeks. I have been to an allergist, dermatologist, immunologist, primary care and rheumatologist . We have ruled out vasculitis, mast cell disease, celiac disease, thyroid disease and I can’t remember what else. My blood work does indicate that my hives are caused from my autoimmune system and not foods. They did say that foods could trigger a reaction though. Antihistamines are not working so the next drugs to try are in the immune suppressant category but they don’t recommend them for me because I have ICC.
Any other suggestions?
