Hello my name is Chuck. I am 70 years old. My life changed in November of 2006 as reslults of a blood test revealed elevated liver function tests during routine physical.

August 2007 went under surgery to left lobe 10.5CM mass was diagnosed cholangiocarcinoma.

3 month follow up revealed 5 small liver lesions on right remaining liver resected end.

Used the Mayo Clinic and MD Anderson for their opinion on forward treatment; January through June of 2008. Staging showed no size change on new tumors. They recommended removal by means of Cyber Knife. I had that done in June / July of 2008.

No new reoccurent cholangiocarcinoma on 6 month observations by CAT Scan/ PET Scan, or blood work.

Colonoscopy done 12/2009 revealed mass upper right tranverse colon near where liver resection was done. Biopsy showed metastatic cholangiocarcinoma results.

Currently scheduled for colon resection on February 24th to remove tumor as all test results show that everything else is clear.

This has been a long road for me; lot of decisions as I wanted to stay away from chemo and keep my immune system working for me through healthy lifestyle.

I hope to hear from others where cholangiocarcinoma has gone from the liver to the colon and their approach from treatment to results.

This is a wonderful website as I have spent a lot of time reading others stories and feedback.

    Thank you,

    Chuck Frame
