I am not sure if you guys noticed, but Rick uploaded the recorded webinar to the website: http://www.cholangiocarcinoma.org/video.htm

Thanks again for all that attended, and we hope that this recording will be of assistance to those of you who were unable to attend.

    Gavin,

Yes – the webinar is going to be posted as soon as possible. Rick mentioned that he’d try to have it up by Monday, but we’ll post an announcement once it is up so you know to look for it.

    All,

Something that I didn’t realize until this morning is that you do not have to dial in on a phone line to listen to the webinar live. If your computer has speakers, you should have been able to listen live via the internet. Hopefully this information will be helpful for future webinars.

Dr. Welch and Elizabeth Neilson from the NCI are absolute angels. Elizabeth located Dr. Welch to present, and worked with us to help get the webinar off the ground. Dr. Welch went above and beyond with pulling together the appropriate information, and tailoring it so that it included bile duct cancer content in the presentation. They are both so giving of their time.

    Sara/Marion,

I wasn’t able to watch the webinar as it happened as I’ve been out all day and am just back. Will the presentation or any video etc be on the website at any time?

    Best wishes,

    Gavin

Kris….I am glad that you were able to join. I thought that we could start a discussion amongst ourselves also.

Chemobrain got me to the webinar late (but I normally show up to class late anyway!), but it was fantastic. Lots of good information. Please pass on my appreciation to Dr. Welch. I cant wait to listen to the stuff I missed. I was very interested in the mysterious 2 new trials coming out.

Oh, and it was great to hear Staceys voice and match it to her picture.

    Thanks again.

    Kris

Just a reminder that we will host a webinar featuring Clinical Trial basics on February 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern (New York). You can register for the webinar here: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/470676481. We are very fortunate to have Dr. Jack Welch from the NCI to be our guest speaker at this event.

I have looked at the presentation, and it provides some really good information. There will be the opportunity to ask questions about clinical trials at the end of the webinar.

As part of our initiatives for 2010, we are going to host an educational series on clinical trials. Up first this month is our Clinical Trials Basics webinar, which was mentioned in the Loose Leaf Notebook: http://www.cholangiocarcinoma.org/looseleaf/2010/01/have-you-found-clinical-trial-process.html

Please try and attend this informative webinar on February 19th!
