    Yes, thank you. Basically 15-17% chance of recurrence after transplant.

    Pub Med has an abstract on stats after transplant.

    Dear Patrick….I do not know of anything relating to a reocurrence post transplant. I don’t know whether any statistics exist. But, I will try to find out as much as possible. Please, also share with us whatever you may learn. Others on this board have had a liver transplant and hopefully, they are able to chime in on this conversation. How are you feeling?

    Hi Marion,

    The reason I was enquiring about clinical trials is to see if there any new treatments in the pipe line that may reduce the risk of the cancer returning.

    I have been advised that even though I have a transplant there is always the risk of me getting cancer again.This is just one medics view on this subject.

    In the last two weeks I have learned that one of the patients who was in hospital with me died after cancer returning.He also had a successful liver transpalnt last year.

    Hello Patrick…..all clinical trials should be listed (and hopefully, are) with clinicaltrials.gov.
    Here is a sample of what I have been able to pull up.

    Hello and a warm welcome. I would start looking at this site and follow those trials actively recruiting patients. You may find some to be accessible near you and you will need to meet the criteria such as, no metastases, etc. You would also want to discuss this with your physician.
