    A world where cancer is not a deadly, but a liveable disease. Every day
    cancer clinical trials are bringing us one step closer to making that
    vision a reality. There are more new treatments and new drugs available
    to cancer patients today than ever before. Many people who
    have had cancer live longer and enjoy a better quality of life than
    was possible thirty years ago.
    Clinical trials are the necessary link between cancer research and
    improved treatment options for patients. Dr. Robert L. Comis, president
    and chairman of the Coalition of National Cancer Cooperative Groups,
