mri thursday finally ate good tuesday,now I am back to not passing stool, GI doc gave me script for mirelex oncologist nurse doesnt know why ? I wish these guys would talk to each other better about there patients instead of just scheduling more tests there in the same building. So now what stayed backed up until I cant hold anymore or start laxetive to relieve the pressure

MarionI hadmy proceedure and everything seams ok gave me a percsription for Mirelex ? my body didnt start to flush until 12 hours after drinking stuff for test, I guess I get a pet scan now.
everyone says how bad prepairing for test is I have been trying for 7 hours and cant get flushed out with gateraide and marelex and tablets, stomach hurts from so much gateraide I can usually only drink 10 ounces without heartburn,they had me drink 64 blah cramps

I don’t know if this helps or not, but when my dad was having digestive troubles his specialist recommended eating foods that were very easy to break down such as lean minced beef and soup. Sorry if that is not of any use to you and I hope that you start to feel a lot better real soon.

MrJ…..hopefully someone will come along with some information for you. I have asked my daughter, who suffers from Colitis and this is what she advised: lean protein, such as chicken (no fat) and soups like chicken broth might help to settle things down. She also eliminates all carbs. I hope this helps and am sending good thoughts your way.
Best wishes,I have been sick with mucus stool and having uncontrolable exsplosive gas which sometimes just gurgles like a coffee pot, I am trying to keep my hydration up and food intake to a minimium with a change up in diet,what can I eat to help me be more comfortable until my colonostomy next week, I am tired of not being able to go anywhere without a pad or diaper and using a double roll of paper a day c-dif was ruled out,blood work seams ok its been 32 months since my liver resection,bile ducts,lymph nodes and gullbladder have been removed then 6 weeks chemo and radiation. I pray to God its just polups or bad colitius my year has not been the quality I would like and need some posssitive going through all this alone at 46 yrs old
