I own a bookstore and have been buying books on cancer recently. I just got a cookbook in called “Eating Well Through Cancer”. I think that is the correct title. I haven’t read it extensively, but what I did like about it (apart from some of the recipes looking appetizing) is that it organized into chapters like, what to eat while on chemo, what to eat when you’re losing weight and have no appetite, what to eat if you’re constipated or conversely having diarrhea. (I’ve decided all the best drugs either plug you up or make you go too much.) Also, there’s a section on what to eat in general.

Anyway, just thought I’d pass that on.

I also like the cookbook, One Bite at a Time: Nourishing Recipes for People with Cancer, Survivors, and Their Caregivers. There’s a recipe for Spiced Almonds and another for Spiced Pecans which are both easy and we made up over the holidays to take to social events.

Rick, if you see this post, do you think it’d be okay or legal if I posted some sample recipes here? I would be willing to contact the publishers or authors if you think that ‘d be necessary.
