We just came back from cyberknife treatment. My husband had to have 5 consecutive days of about 2 hours a day. We will not know how sucessful this has been until we go back for a scan in a month’s time.

On another cc website, I read of a woman who had cyberknife treatments after a liver resectioning. Try posting something to Leonard from Los Alamos California on Cancer Compass.com. He is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Val, before Charlie was a candidate for resection, I researched Cyberknife. The doctors at UNC-Chapel Hill told us his tumors were too big to be treated with Cyberknife. The information then (8/07) was that it’s usually used to treat smaller areas. UNC was just getting started with it and it was probably going to be at least sometime later in 2008 before they started treating areas other than the brain and spine. I’m sure other medical centers have it and they might be more advanced with it.
