    Dear Ellen –

Welcome to our family. I am sorry to hear about your dad, but know that on this site, you have people who have been where you are and really care. We understand the roller coaster ride of this disease and are very willing to offer friendship, advice, support and a place to vent. Come as often as you like. Blessings, Susan

    Hi Ellen,

Welcome. Yes you are definitely in the right place here as you will get a load of support from all of us. I’m sorry to hear about your dad and I hope that the radiation works well and that the doctors can go ahead with his surgery. Your dad is in excellent hands and it sounds like his doctors have a plan in place, and I will keep my fingers crossed that the plan works for your dad.

We are all here for you, so please feel free to come here as much as you want, vent, ask questions, whatever you like really. We know what you are going through and how you feel right now.

My best wishes to you and your dad,

    Gavin

Dear Ellen, welcome to our wonderful family but so sorry you had to join us.
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Congratulations on taking the plunge here. The best we can all do is take it one day at a time and try to be realistically optimistic. You never know how much good knowledge you will gain here with our caring and loving members. MD Anderson is one of the very best for CC. Wishing him the best of luck with his treatment and please keep us posted.

I started out on this website on another thread and hope starting over in the introduction space will put me in the right place. My dad has CC which has been confirmed and considered inoperable. It is in his liver, shoulder, hip and now aeorta. He is being treated at M.D. Anderson and has started radiation in his shoulder in which they do plan to do surgery to rebuild the shoulder to relieve some of his pain. The doctors are planning to begin chemo shortly after that to attempt to put the CC in remission. Pray for us.
    Thanks
