Wow, what a surprise! We are so happy that Dave came through so well and that you came through too, such a trying time. Maybe it was just meant to be to get all the “stuff” taken care of. Best wishes now for a speedy and a good recovery. Please let us know how Dave is doing!
I am glad things went well for Dave. Praying everything goes well and that the biopsy is negative. Love that the doc did a tummy tuck! Sending good thoughts and prayers to you and Dave. Hoping everything goes smoothly and he is able to go home soon. God Bless,
JamieLast minute surgery can throw you for a loop but it sounds like it went as well as could be expected with the bonus of the tummy tuck! I am still laughing about the speedo…that is one interesting visual, a patient hooked up to all sorts of machines and tubes and just ready to hit the beach! Maybe he can get them to bring him mai-tais while he is in there!

Yesterday he had surgery. It was a shock. I found out that he was going to have surgery on Wednesday at 3:30.
He had surgery yesterday at 10:41. He was out by 3.
He had a bi-pass surgery done, where Doc Hawk provided another route for the food to pass through to his stomach. He repaired that massive hernia as well. The aneurysm needed to be avoided, so there was no way to correct that, but it is coiled off, and the swelling should go down, and that area should be fine.
Surgery went well. He was given 3 units of blood, due to all the scar tissue that they needed to cut through. He has a feeding tube in his belly that they are going to have nutrition sent through to give him a boost with his weight. He has the surgical drain, and his billiary drain. He is still in critical care, but will move to ICU tomorrow.
There was a spot on his bowel that Doc sent off for biopsy. Trying not to worry about that one. One step at a time!
Doc Hawk even gave Dave a tummy tuck!! That’s right…no more belly!! Dave say yesterday…”Break out the speedo!” LOL He still has that sence of humor!!
