    Hi Gavin
I didn’t know that Deadliest Catch was shown in the UK – that’s pretty cool. The convention and Phil Harris memorial are going to be streamed live on Friday and Saturday. I don’t know what time that would be on your time.

The Wizard and the Northwestern are going to be available for tours. The captains and the crew will be there for a panel discussion, autographs, and photographs. I can’t wait!

    Hi Lisa,

Sounds like a great weekend to me so I hope you have a lot of fun!! I love deadliest catch and have been watching it since it started here in the UK about 5 years or so ago. Just waiting for season 6 to start here soon I think.

That is some job that these guys do with so much danger involved and the crab look amazing and very tasty, but I’ve never seen any here! What boat are you getting to tour?

    Have a great time!

    Gavin

Lisa….that sounds so exciting. I love crab, but I have noticed that the size of the crabs are significantly smaller than they were 20 years ago. Have a great time and take some pictures for us to share with.
    Best wishes,
    Marion

Lisa, sounds kind of “fishy” to me! :):) Have a great time while you scale this new adventure and can “fin”ally cross it off your bucket list. Do you get to have a crab meal after wards?

I suppose I could post this in the Good News forum, but I’ll post here.

I’m sooooo excited – I’m going to the Deadliest Catch convention in Seattle on Saturday. I got “hooked” on DC when I was first diagnosed and was so sick I was in bed for days — watching a DC marathon on the Discovery Channel.

For those who don’t know, DC is about crab fishermen in Alaska’s Bering Sea. It is really a neat show. It takes your mind off your problems as you watch these brave fishermen battle high seas and horrible weather to catch crab.

I gotta admit, meeting the captains and touring one of the boats on the show was on my bucket list. I’m so thrilled that I can cross that off my list this weekend!

So that is my Good News for the month :)
