Hi Kris,
Kirs, I really feel for you. I hope you can get going with your treatments soon. Who knows, maybe this time things will work out better in Linkoping. But I do understand how emotionally and physically fragile you are feeling. You are one tough cookie.
Hugs from me,

Sorry to hear that you are having yet more problems in getting all of this organised and having to deal with doctors that arn’t getting things done as they should be. Frustrating is an understatement I think and this is just extra hassle and strife that you and Hans could do without right now.
Hopefully you will hear something on Monday.
Best wishes,
Gavin

Sorry to hear about the frustrations! Wouldn’t you think they would do something to get you a “fit in” for the CT scan since they dropped the ball on you? Maybe a repeat call to the scheduler with some extra empahsis would help?
I’m sorry you have to deal with this. Hang in there. I’m still praying that the treatment will be effective and worth the time away from home.

Sorry you have had to deal with all of this incompetancy. Don’t they realize that time is of the essence in these cases or don’t they really care about the patient??????? I am glad that you and Hans have taken things into your own hands and are moving forward. It will mean a lot of inconvenince, but you are right, you can’t wait. Yes it stinks, but hopefully it will all work out and you will be back in Kalmar with Hans, your kitties and your friends and doing well in no time at all. Good luck to you and keep us posted. We all care and want to know how you are doing. I will be thinking of you.
Love & Hugs,
DarlaMay 7, 2010 at 1:47 pm #37836lainySpectatorKris, we are so sorry to hear what you are going through and it shows the epidemic is world wide. Even our ONC who is rated the top in Phoenix by other doctors gave us both LAB work sheets and forgot to mark anything that has to do with Cancer. So now I check it over before I leave his office. Its just not fair to be having the fight on one’s life and then have to fight appointments as well. Hope you know something Monday! Thought: can they put you on a wait list in case of cancellations?
May 7, 2010 at 1:33 pm #3514devoncatSpectatorWe have been waiting for my ct scan date for 2 weeks now. Hans talked to the onc on Tuesday who said she didnt have a date but had passed the request on over a week ago. So we waited until yesterday to call the radiology department where we found out that they could not find a request for a ct scan. Calls back to oncology depart and they dont know what is going on. Got a call today and now have a ct appointment for the 20th. Yes, two weeks away and I have already waited to weeks. Someone either didnt complete or lost my paperwork and I have to wait another 2 weeks! And this is just to find out if Kalmar can do the radiation treatment. So if they cant, I have to wait again to have my treatment organised in Linkoping. Needless to say, there were tears. The poor nurse didnt really know what do say. So Hans and I decided not to wait and ask for immediate transfer to Linkoping so I can begin treatment. The ward was shut down by the time we decided so he faxed them a letter so it will be waiting for them on Monday. This is very frustrating as I like my doctors in Kalmar and I dont like the ones in Linkoping. Plus it will mean living in a hospital for 5 1/2 weeks without my friends and kitties around. But, I cant wait. This stinks.
Kris
