Chris…I believe that biliary drainage has been achieved unless of course your husband is jaundiced, has dark urine, or light stools. Your husband is receiving chemotherapy and that in itself is a good sign.

Can anyone explain (in plain english) what the drains do? My husband has had up to 4 drains in him at one time. The procedure to remove the final three did not work the first or second time. The third try they were able to remove two of the three. The third one is still in and is scheduled to be removed, if possible, in a couple of weeks. The drain is flushed twice a day. This drain has very little coming through. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? He had his second round or chemo this past Thursday.
