rwpavocat…..glad to hear husband is feeling better. Does he have a metal or plastic stent? Stents will clog especially plastic, metal lasts a bit longer. In any case, make sure to watch your husband’s temperature, as any elevation should be reported to the physician.
Plastic stents can last anywhere from about 4 weeks to several months with the average hovering around 90 days.

Good luck with everything and please stay in touch, we care and we are in this together.

    Shelly,

ERCP’s used to really beat the hell out of my mom. The first one in particular. She was in the hospital for a few days after. Her tumor was very difficult to navigate so I think that added complications.

The recovery from ERCP/Spyglass procedure is usually rather minimal. I suggest you contact your doctor and bring this to their attention.

    Hi everyone,
Hoping someone else has experienced ERCP with stent removal and new placement and Spyglass for biopsy at same time. Had procedure done last Thursday and still feeling abdominal discomfort (i did vomit a fair bit in recovery…lots of anethetic as procedure took longer than expected). Anyone else experience this? I was feeling pretty good before.
