I too got a kick out of the fact that your Dad wanted a banana split. Though there have been no clinical trials, I’m pretty sure banana splits have real curative powers. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it…Grace and Peace,
bobPam…your Dad’s desire for a banana split makes me laugh. I am glad that he was able to enjoy it. Hopefully by tomorrow he will regain some energy.

MarionMy dad has been exhausted for about a week. No energy what so ever. He decided he wanted to have chemo dose of gemzar. His GI doctor wanted him to choose hospice and his oncologist let him decide. She basically said he was eligible for either and it was his decision. He said he would always wonder if chemo would have given him any time. So today he went for it. He hasn’t woken up since we got home. We did stop for a banana split before going home. Of course I said anything you want! I hope he has some energy tomorrow. I am willing to take him anywhere.
