I will check in tom again at 9.00 to see if it is working. And like you, I so hope that this catches on as I know it will be great for us all to be able to come here and chat with each other in real time. Even if just those of us who can and want to can make it here for just a small time each week, I know that we can make it a huge success! And hopefully we can make this a weekly get together!

I will email Rick (web page Rick) to see if we can do this as I think that it would be good for those of us who want to chat to be able to do so here. Hoping that it can be sorted soon and looking forward to our first group chat!

Gavin, that sounds good to me. I’ll check in tomorrow to see if it’s working but if not then will try next week. I hope that this catches on. (By the way, I am not the Rick that does all the great work on this website – I am just the Rick that suggested setting up a set time for the chat).
It will take some work to get this into a routine, but I think it will be well worth the efforts. When I did this at the J-pouch.org site it was a huge hit and it was great to chat in real time with dozens of others in the same boat.

Just tried to go into the chat room and it looks like it’s not working yet. So perhaps we can all try again next Thursday instead of tomorrow. How does that sound to everyone?
I tried too and all I got is the same as everyone else. At first I thought it was just me. If possible, I also will try again next week.
That sounds fair enough to me Marion. Hopefully Rick will have had a chance to work his magic by then!! I will post a reminder again next week under the general discussions thread about next Thursdays chat.

Gavin…If you would like to postpone until next Thursday then that would be fine with me. We will know for sure whether Rick has had a chance to tend to repair the chat room.
Rick does a load for us all after all and if he can fix things in his own time then would that not be easier for him?
We could do Marion as that would save Rick some stress in trying to fix things at his end today. That is if Rick is trying to fix things in a hurry for us all. Hopefully this will turn into a success and we can have chats every Thursday! What do you think?
