Lourdes;
I am sorry about your Dad. My Dad passed at 69 from colon cancer and my Mom passed Feb. 2012 from cholangiocarcinoma.
I read the tribute to your Dad. What a wonderful person. He will truly be missed by his family and students. We feel your pain.
God Bless.April 28, 2012 at 11:01 am #60303hollandgMemberLourdes

April 26, 2012 at 5:28 am #60299mlepp0416SpectatorMy thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
God saw he was getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around him
and whispered “Come with Me”
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer,
and saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
we could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.Hugs,

CathyApril 26, 2012 at 12:00 am #60296lainySpectatorDear Lourdes and Family, please accept my heartfelt sympathies on the Passing of your Father, he was truly a Hero in every sense of the word, serving his Family and his Country.
God looked around his garden and he found an empty place,
He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God’s Garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never get, well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough and hills were hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered “PEACE BE THINE”.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone,
For parts of us went with you the day God called you home.April 25, 2012 at 11:44 pm #60295darlaSpectatorDear Lourdes,
I am sorry to read that your father has passed. Yes, he is now in a better place no longer suffering or in pain. He will always be with you in your heart and memories. Know that I am thinking of you and your family at this sad and trying time.
Love & Hugs,
DarlaApril 25, 2012 at 10:57 pm #6712lourdesaliciaSpectatorEarly this morning, after fighting a good fight, my father, Hugo Rocha age 68, passed away to CC. He was a faithful and loyal husband, loving father, and amazing person who touched many people’s lives. He served honorably in the US Army Service from 1967 to 1969. Worked as an amazing counselor for adults and students, and always wanted to help in whatever way he could. My family and I have many wonderful memories of him, and will try to keep these memories alive in everything we do.
This is the first time I post his name on the boards as he was a very private person, but I know that during his fight he was always interested in how awareness was brought to what Cholangiocarcinoma is and how it affects a person, and their families.
He will be missed, but know that he is now in a peaceful place where he can just relax.
