    Hi Carl,

Thats great that your wife’s first Gem/Cis went well and I hope that the rest of them go equally smoothly. Remember to keep us posted on how things go for your wife and I so hope for the best possible results here. And for sure, you are most certainly starting to fight back now and moving ahead! Stay strong.

Best wishes to you and your wife,

    Gavin

I wish your wife the best of Carl!

Agree with all that once you have a plan in place it feels like you are taking control of the situation.

If I can help in anyway am happy to do so

That’s great to hear! And to Jason, best to you as you start GTX! I asked my sis to ask her onc about it tomorrow as an alternative to just Xeloda by itself.
    Hang in there…

    Hey Carl,

I’m starting my first chemo starting tomorrow (GEMOX).

I feel like your wife is my fellow soldier, ready to battle thru this process.

    Good luck!

Hi Carl, I hope your wife’s chemo went well. Starting chemo is scary but I felt like I was doing something to fight the cancer so I was sooo ready The actual chemo treatment is usually non-eventful, the after effects for me was very tired about 48 hours after chemo and really just lasted a day I also kept 3 different ant-nausea drugs in my system as a preventive.
    Lots of prayers and HOPE-Cathy

    Hi Carl,

It is true that once you start a treatment plan you feel as though you are fighting back and gaining some control over everything that is so crazy. I wish your wife all the best as she receives her chemo and hope she sails through with no complications.

    Hugs,
    -Pam

After the consult visits, the questions of which chemo treatment plan, and even the unexpected trip to ER due to heightened pain levels this weekend, it is time. My wife begins chemo today (Gem/Cis). it’s been a crazy period since her diagnosis. At least we are now starting to fight back. We are ready to begin.
