Rick told us at the foundation meetings there are approximately 60,000 page views a month on this website. Can you imagine?
400 participants as of this evening. The kudos go to Rick!
October 4, 2007 at 12:39 am #17110peterMemberWell said Sara.
It’s good to note that this website has already made a difference. I think I’m correct that we’ve had over 300 participants (rick ??) not to mention the ripple to families, friends and care givers. It’s now a resource for people newly diagnosed that simply was not available anywhere a few years ago. The foundation is growing from this seed.
Thank you Stacie, Rick and all of Mark’s family.-Peter

October 3, 2007 at 4:12 pm #17108sandy-blakeMemberI think donating in memory of a loved one is a wonderful idea. When my husband died of cc, we had donations sent to John Hopkins biliary research center. I wish I had known about this site before, but I guess no matter where you donate, it still helps people with cc.
October 3, 2007 at 7:06 am #17107devoncatSpectatorThanks for pointing that out Sara. I must confess the Wiki page confuses me. I will keep that information in mind!
October 2, 2007 at 6:55 pm #17106saraMemberKate and devoncat – it’s not intuitive at all, but there is a donations button on the wiki page. I think this link may take you to the paypal account: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr
If it doesn’t take you to a page that lists “The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation” at the top, then go to the wiki page and just click on the donation button. It’s in the lower, right corner of the page. Maybe we can get Rick to add the button to the top of every page until the new website is launched.
On our way home from SLC (three of us were on the same flight to Houston), one of the board members was sitting next to a passenger who lost a relative to cholangiocarcinoma several years ago. I still have chills thinking about the forces that were in play all weekend surrounding the meetings…
October 1, 2007 at 12:50 pm #17104kate-gMemberThank you Stacie, looking forward to seeing the results of all your hard work!
I think Kris’s idea is BRILLIANT!! I am sure there would be many people here who would like to make donations.September 30, 2007 at 4:43 pm #17105devoncatSpectatorI think a way to make donations over the internet, maybe something like paypal would be nice. I think it would be wonderful if there was a way people could easily donate in honor or in memory of someone specifically for cholangiocarcinoma.

September 30, 2007 at 3:34 pm #729stacieMemberTwo days of Foundation meetings are over, three pages of agenda items addressed, dozens & dozens of assignments made and to top it all off, we had snow in Salt Lake City over the weekend – a little surprise for our visitors.
I want to give you a brief update. In about six weeks you will see a complete overhaul of this website. We intend to make cholangiocarcinoma.org complete in our efforts to help you as you are first diagnosed, direct you as you look for further answers and support you and your loved ones as you continue down this path.
We are very excited about the changes to the website and the upcoming newsletter.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do to better serve you.
Stacie Lindsey
