    Great Lisa!

    Lisa. That is wonderful
News! We had our surgeries at the same time and both ended up with incisional hernias. I am so happy to hear that you are ready to get that taken care of. With your spirit, you will get through this and move on. You have been an inspiration to me and so
    Many others!

    Lisa,
Thats great news about your bloodwork and the fact you’re healthy enough to have those hernias repaired. I had no idea you had that side effect from previous surgery (or that it could happen). No, more surgery doesn’t sound like fun but I can picture you as a very active woman and nothing should hold you back from living life to its fullest. In fact, I can picture you tearing it up on the dance floor at a small venue with a nice rhythm and blues band :)
Let us know when the surgery is scheduled.

PS you should be getting that book ‘Survival Lessons’ any day as I mailed it Sat. I hope you enjoy it as much as my sisters and I did.

    Lisa,

Glad to hear things are still going well for you and hope this continues. More surgery is never something to look forward to, but look to the end results and hopefully that will help to make it easier.

    Take care.

    Love & Hugs,
    Darla

It has been six weeks since my last scans and blood work. I went this past Monday for blood work and the results were good. My CA 19-9 is 29 and my CEA is 1.1. My oncologist has cleared me to talk to my surgeon about repairing my two incisional hernias which are the size of softballs. I am not looking forward to another surgery but the hernias keep me from being active.
Thank you for all your support
    Hugs,
    Lisa
