Nancy….fantastic news. Stable has taken on a new meaning when it comes to this disease and the fact that the ascities has cleared up is extremely encouraging. I am with you; indeed this is a great time to enjoy the pleasures of life. Thanks for making it a brighter day.

MarionGood news! Doug’s 8 cycles of Gem/Cis finished on May 18th. He had a follow up scan last Thursday and we went for the results yesterday (very nerve wracking waiting in the “hot” seat). NO change in the tumors in the liver and bones from the previous 2 scans and previous ascites cleared up! All liver markers improved; just waiting for the results of the CA 19-9. What’s next? Follow up scan and blood tests in 3 months. Here’s to a carefree summer and enjoying life!
Went to see the naturopath today for a check-up and to boost our supply of supplements. He was sooo positive, informative and upbeat. Doug was so impressed that the naturopath checked with me to see how I was doing as well. A far cry from the ho hum oncologist, who even shrugged his shoulders at one of my questions – oh well, he gave us the results we had hoped for.
Here’s to keeping that cancer at bay until a cure is found! Best wishes to all.
