I sure hope so!! I’m shocked it dropped that much in a month. I think it’s the xeloda!! I have been on it a month.

YEA! We love to hear about ‘droppings”. In a way we love the downward trends. Maybe you can start a fad here!

I love your good news Tiffany! I also like that Dr. Javle said that he has seen people with CC live many, many years! That gives me hope!

Tiff….I love reading the positives described in your posting. Enjoy. Obtaining an additional opinion always is a good idea. If anything it will confirm what you have already been told. Most physicians welcome inquisitive and informed patients.
    Hugs,

Nice, post, Tiff. We love the good news and like you say, worry about the rest later or maybe never. Keep up the good work and looking forward to more good news!

So the chemo is still working. We are going to change up the schedule a little in hopes that I don’t miss any more.

This time I had a pet scan. MDA had a copy of the pet from my local onc in feb, but it was hard to compare. Dr. Javle said that he could for sure see improvement, and less uptake. Even better news, he has ruled out cc in the lungs. That has always been in question. Not so good news, I might have some more lymph node involvement than we thought (around the neck). I’m not letting that get me down.

Dr. Javle told me today, this is something we are just going to have to manage, like a person having high blood pressure or something. He gave me hope! He said he has seen people live many many years with cc. He is going to bring up Y90 in the tumor meeting this week, so I will hear more about that in the next few weeks.

So….for right now, more gemzar and xeloda. And I’m ok with that. It’s doing it’s job! I’m thankful it’s still working.

Yay for good news. Also I think I’m going to stick with MDA for now as far as major cancer centers go. I do believe that I will send dr. Kate a copy of the pet scan, but I wonder how much he can tell from it as far as looking at surgery?
