Lisa….when it comes to CC then “lazy” is a welcome expression. Congratulations and thanks for sharing this uplifting report.

I’m not sure if a resection is ever going to be possible, because it is wrapped around the IVC.

However, as long as it’s lazy and not doing anything, I’m counting my blessings!

    Lisa,
I am so happy for you and your family. I am so glad you are having “lazy” cc. I hope you continue to kick cc butt. Will they offer up another resection opportunity now that the tumor is smaller?

WOW! YEAH! WONDERFUL! FABULOUS! FANTASTIC! OVERJOYED! What great news, Lisa! Who knows why, only the one upstairs knows why! We are so very happy for you. The only thing I may suggest is to try pre-natal one a day vitamins with iron. I put Teddy on those and they seem to be good for him. Only problem is we have to see what pops out after 9 months!!!!!!!!! :):) We love good news!

I just had to share this good news with my friends here.

I am experiencing liver pain and soreness, so my oncologist ordered a scan. The tumor is stable and NOT spreading. I started out diagnosed with a 6 cm x 3.5 cm tumor and am down to a 2 cm x 1.7 cm tumor one year later. The pain may be from the scar tissue from the failed resection last March. I can deal with that now that I know what it’s from.

My treatments for over a year have been with Gemzar and Xeloda.

My oncologist called my tumor “lazy”, for which I can be very grateful. I don’t know why my body has responded so well. I really haven’t changed my diet, and have not been excercising regularly due to fatigue issues.

The only supplement I take is a daily multi-vitamin. No other medication except for the occasional Prilosec.

Why this disease attacks some more aggressively than others is a complete mystery to me.

I just came home with my youngest daughter from visiting a college across the state from us. I am beginning to feel hopeful, God willing, that I will be around to see her graduate from WSU in 2014. She is a junior in high school, and looking forward to attending college when she graduates.
