    Excellent news Randi,
    You’re right about the recurrences. Another thing my dad was told was that he would most likely know before the scan if things weren’t right. So if you are feeling good up to October then fingers crossed the scan will confirm that!

    YEA YEA!!! I am so glad that we could both post positive CC success stories on the same day. Hopefully this will start a new trend for our site. Nothing like HOPE with facts to back it up, to keep you fighting!

    Another thing the doctor told me that I hang on to…70-80% of recurrences happen within the first 2 years. It will be 2 years in December for me, yay!

    YIPPEE! Randi! Just the post we love to read. Keep up your excellent progress and keep us posted. We all know how awful that wait between scans is, but you are doing wonderful!! You are a real CC poster girl.

    Hi everyone,

    Went to the doctor yesterday and got the results of my 3 month scan. The doctor was very pleased with it and my blood work and exam. There is one sort of annoying thing on the scan in my liver called THAD (Transient Hepatic Attenuation Differences). This is what they saw 6 months ago that was gone 3 months ago and now is showing in a completely different area. Apparently these are benign images that are just annoying and don’t indicate a pathology.

    So…I will take my good scan and live my life and in October I will begin freaking out again just before my next scan. This is my pattern, but if I can keep it to just before my scan, I feel like I am living my life the best that I can given the circumstances.
