Leo: From a guy who just got some similar good news after NOT taking an Alaskan cruise to one who got his good news after TAKING an Alaskan cruise—Hey! I’d have preferred to have had the cruise, I think. Congratulations on the success and renewed hopes. May the Lord continue his blessings!!

Thanks everyone. You are all such a source of inspiration for me after so many times when my docs have been negative despite not even having had any experience with metastasis post liver transplant. Even my chemo doc mentioned that in healthy post liver tx patients (read: no cancer) they see clotting in a pretty decent percentage. I like that vs more mets. =D

Love and light to you all my friends,

Fantastic report after returning from the great Alaska cruise. You are on a roll, Leo. Keep it up.
Blood clots are not uncommon. You may read up on it:

It was a nerve racking day before and day of until we met with my chemo oncologist. We were still recovering from all the time zone changes and jet lag from our fantastic Alaskan cruise. I’ll tell you more about that in another post or you’ll see it via FaceBook.

Anyway, so I get through the CT and get to my oncologist and as many of you recall he’s like most oncs. He wants to be truthful but doesn’t want to fall into optimism. Well, he pointed out my CA19-9 is down for 2 or 3 consecutive reads. From 981 (highest so far) to 551! Yay! He also feels more cautiously optimistic about the possibility of beating this down and possibly looking at talking about surgically removing my omentum!

I did leave with a 2 shots a day regimen for a blood clot next to my liver but I guess they see it occasional with liver tx patients. Either way, I’m happy as heck with the results.

    With love and light,

    -leo
