Sure! The chemo is Gemzar…he has been doing sets of 3 with fourth week off since April 30 and has 15 more treatments to undergo….he is on Oxycodone 5-325 for pain, sulfazine, lonox and immodium for diarreaha, 30mgs of prednisone daily, prochlopher for nausea when needed and azement and xanax only on Sundays after treatments
Just in the last few days, it seems that Lee has either “come back” or completely lost his mind. He says he cannot really account for much that has happened since February. He cannot remember ANYTHING whether it happened two months ago, a week ago, yesterday or this morning! It’s crazy! He literally forgets where he leaves things…or what we just got done talking about. He says that he has “chemo brain”….we all laugh because sometimes it’s so scary! Has anyone experienced anything like this!? I feel like I’m going insane just trying to keep him “up to date” with things. I know he has been on lots of meds that might have an effect on his mind…but he is just now realizing how sick he has been within, the last six months, and cant seem to understand or believe that such an awful disease has changed our lives so dramatically…he apologizes constantly to Emilee and I for turning our world upsidedown and breaks down. I was just wanderin’ for any insight.
