I too am so very sorry for your losses. I have been keeping your Aunt and her family in my prayers. You can have some comfort knowing she is at peace, no more seizures or pain. My thoughts and prayers are sent to you during this most difficult time. God Bless,

I say go if at all possible. You will find a strength and calm deep inside of you that you won’t believe is possible. You will be fine. We will all pray for a sense of peace for you.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I agree with Kris and Lisa. You may regret not going to see her and you may be able to help her other family members. Remember, that as much as you loved her I am sure that she loved you. It may be that she would want you there with her also. Just my thoughts. I am sure that you will make the right decision for you. My prayers are with you and your Aunt.
God Bless,
JamieJune 15, 2009 at 2:25 pm #28510lisaSpectatorI’m with Kris. Jill, if it were me, I would go see my beloved aunt before it is too late. God bless you in what ever decision you make.
I know that it’s hard, hard, hard. But you are not alone.

I too pray that her passing is peaceful and without pain. I might suggest you are stronger than you think. PErhap if you went to visit, you would not fall apart. Often, people go into automatic drive because there is so much to do and other people need you. If you think you might regret not going there, then you need to go. You have to think of your mental health as well.Kris

June 15, 2009 at 1:50 pm #28507just_jillMemberI never got to go and spend time with my Aunt. They traveled to Chicago, to Cancer Treatment Center of America. There they found yet another tumor on her spine, and they spent two weeks there, getting radiation, 10 treatments, plus they did attempt another type of chemo. Her body had such a bad reaction to this chemo, they were unable to give more than the one. They arrived home June 6, and last night, June 14, Etnah started having seizures, and was rushed to hospital, where she is drifting in and out. As of that time, she had also been transfused 5 pints of blood.
I only pray that her passing is peaceful and without pain. Take her suffering away!
As much as my need is to jump in the car and as quickly as possible get to her bedside, her children and grandchildren, as well as Uncle Gary, do not need me falling apart on their hands either. They have so much of their own grief to deal with. Does anyone understand this?

Please remember to take a step back and take care of yourself too. This is a very stressful time for you to be dealing with so much. I know you have to do what you have to do, so continue to build your strength up. Here’s a cyber hug around your shoulders.
