    Colleen,
Chris’ doctors at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, which are also the liver transplant team, when they diagnosed Chris told us that many times CC is the end result of Crohns. They did not said Crohns caused the CC just most of the CC people are also Crohns sufferers.
Everyone thanks for the wonderful welcome

Susan, I am very sorry for you and Nikki to lose your son and she her husband so young. There is nothing to ease your pain, but time. I hope you have many beautiful memories so you can remember him. “He who is remembered did not die, he just went to another room and once you’ll meet again”.

Susan – I am so sorry about your loss. My husband has had CC for 14 months now, but seems to be fading more everyday. He also has Crohn’s, which as you know is an ordeal also. Was wondering if your doctors ever said anything about the CC being a result of having Crohn’s. I have noticed there are quite a few on this site that have had both, yet my husbands doc’s say there is no relationship between the two.

Susan, my heart goes out to you. I lost my Dad on Jan 13, 2007 to this illness. He had been diagnosed 10 weeks earlier. I know it is heartwrenching and there is an unbelievable feeling of helplessness, especially when watching a loved one suffer from an illness which is so rare there is barely any research. Please know you and your family are in my prayers and I hope you find comfort in memories of happier times.

    Brightest Blessings,
    Missing U

My son Chris passed away Jan 2nd 2005 with this awful cancer he was 31 years old and just married 16 months. After dealing with Crohn’s disease from the age of 14, which we thought was the worst at the time, he was diagnosed with cancer. We were told he had “months” not exactly how many, just months. We learned later they thought less than 6. Chris & I found the Cancer Treatment Center which gave him 14 months. Chris & his wife Nikki lived with me until Chris passed.
My thoughts, love & prayers are with EVERYONE dealing with this disease. It does not get easier, ever.
I come here to share with people who know the pain from both sides.
