    Mark,
Glad to see the good news. You are one of the few people on this site now that has bone mets and liver tumors. That is where mine are. I just finished radiation of my sacrum ( I have a fracture there) and have had radiation on the sternum, T4-T7 on my spine and my left humerus twice. The next chemo I’m trying is the FOLFOX and I’m glad it’s working for you. I hope I am that blessed too.
Great news for you…keep it going!

    Mark,
We are so happy to read about your great news! It is very encouraging for us to hear that the “one-two punch” of FOLFOX & radiation has been effective. Dr. Lenz sure knows his stuff.

Hope to here more good news in the future.

Jeff and I were so happy to meet you both when Dr. Lenz introduced us! I hope we were not intrusive.

God Bless You & Your Family,

Mark…..radiation has shown to be quite effective with bone metastases and you are a great example for just that. Add to it the subsequent shrinkage and/or stable response to the chemo all makes for a wonderful posting to read. I am overjoyed, dear Mark. You are in great hands with your medical team and I wish for continued success coming your way. No reason to believe otherwise.
    Hugs

    Hi all,

As you may recall, a PET/CT in early June showed sudden, rapid, and expansive metasasis of my cancer. Since then, I’ve received four rounds of FOLFOX and 10 days of radiation on my spine and sternum. It’s too early to judge the effectiveness of the radiation, but a new CT showed bone lesions as stable, shrinkage of the three lesions in the liver and two in the peritoneum, and shrinkage of the multiple enlarged lymph nodes. I also have significantly decreased bone pain, and less abdominal swelling. Every part of the report represented improvement. So we will continue with this treatment as long as it continues to have palliative effect.

My wife and stepsons, who bore the emotional burden of seeing my health decline so quickly just a few months ago, are very relieved to see me feeling better, and for that I am most grateful to the physicians who are fighting for me.

Thank you all for your continued thoughts and good wishes.

    Mark
