Welcome Damamma, to our wonderful family. So sorry to hear about your sister but you have come to the best place in the world. Feel free to ask, advise or vent, we are here for you. When someone new is told no surgery we usually suggest a second opinion and if the no appears again then it’s on to a good Oncologist and the setting up of a game plan. No one has an expiration date and new treatments are appearing that were not there before. Please keep us posted.

Welcome to the site although I am sorry that you had to find us. And I am sorry to hear of your sisters diagnosis. My dad was diagnosed in the summer of 2008 and his CC was deemed inoperable. His treatment was Photodynamic Therapy with the possibility of chemo to come, but he never had chemo. Has your sister spoke with her doctors about the possibility of other treatments such as radiation, PDT or Cyberknife?
Please feel free to ask any and all questions that you will have and I am sure that someone here will be able to help. At the top of the page there is a search function that you can use to look for postings on any topic and this will hopefully be of some use to you. I hope that you will keep coming back as you will get a load of support and help from us all.

Hi all, just wanted to say Hey as I’m new to this board.
My wonderful older sister who’s 52 has been diagnosed May of 09 while having a routine appendictomy – with Adenocarcinoma with mets to the pertinium, while undergoing tests to determine if she was a canditate for Debulking surgery, they found more. She was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma in Sept of 09. She was told she is not a surgical candidate and all that can be done is chemo.So here I am, looking for information as always.
