Hi Esther70,
Welcome to our community. Thank you for your note. Is your grandmother being treated for cholangiocarcinoma? Is the IV Vitamin C treatment being given alongside another treatment, such as chemotherapy?
We have not had many patients yet reporting intravenous (IV) high-dose Vitamin C as a complementary treatment, and I am not aware of any medical studies for our rare cancer that look at patient results with this treatment. The National Cancer Institute has information on its website about this treatment that can be found here: https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/cam/patient/vitamin-c-pdq and also here: https://www.cancer.gov/research/key-initiatives/ras/ras-central/blog/2020/yun-cantley-vitamin-c
There is also a very readable cholangiocarcinoma patient blog titled “The Cancer Assassin” whose author (now deceased) discusses her experience with IV high-dose Vitamin C treatment. http://thecancerassassin.blogspot.com/
I hope your grandmother continues to feel better.
Take care, regards, Mary

We are using for our grandmother Vitamin C IV from PharmaLife Laboratories.
The treatment started 6 months ago and there are visible signs of improving her health. We will continue the therapy until everything will be fine again
November 1, 2016 at 9:32 pm #61058becksters450SpectatorHi Beatriz! Thank you so much for your reply! My mom actually lives in Kansas and found a clinic in Wichita, KS that does the Vitamin C treatments (which is only about a half hour from their house). She has gone through 2 days of the treatments so far. I am a little concerned because she has heart issues and she started feeling a little funny during both treatments (heart arrhythmia, etc). She feels better now, but tomorrow they will continue to increase the dosage.
I will definitely look at the info at KU! Thank you so much for telling me about that. I ended up doing a GoFundMe account to raise money for this treatment, because I am not sure how much Medicare will cover and she may need to do it for a year.
Did your dad every do chemo? I have heard that chemo doesn’t work much for this type of cancer. My mom has the rarest form (intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma). How long ago was your dad diagnosed? My mom was diagnosed a month ago and on Friday the oncologist only gave her 6-9 months to live because it is so advanced and has spread to gall bladder and both sides of her liver.

My mom is going to a clinic tomorrow to start this therapy and I am wondering if anyone knows about any success with this treatment for bile duct cancer? Thank you!
