    Hi Hiedi,

Just to add to what Catherine has given you and I would strongly recommend that you read this link –

    http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.3322/canjclin.40.1.51/pdf

Please be very careful about what you find on google etc regrading claims about this treatment or that treatment as there is a lot of what I would call bogus information out there.

I found this as well Hiedi – http://www.fda.gov/forconsumers/consumerupdates/ucm048383.htm

And further googling found lots of other legal documents that are out there should you wish to look for them yourself.

Really sorry that I don’t have anything more positive or better to say about this treatment. I so wish that I could help so more and please know that we are all here for you.

My best wishes to you and your father in law,

    Gavin

    Dear Heidy,

Unfortunately I have no firsthand knowledge, but “googling” found below:

The American Cancer Society strongly urges cancer patients not to use the Hoxsey treatment. No sound scientific evidence exists to support its safety or effectiveness.

    https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/integrative-medicine/herbs/hoxsey-herbal-therapy.

I think Sloan Kettering is one of the leaders in CC, so for my mother, I would tend to believe. However, so many unknowns with CC that I hope if anyone with better knowledge or experience can step forward.

Question- were the 2 ONC you went to familiar with CC? Even in Maryland with top notch hospitals, we have had doctors without much experience in cholangiocarcinoma.

I am sorry your family is at this point, and wish you the best,
    Catherine

    Hello everyone,
I am trying to see if anyone with cholangiocarcinoma has ever tried this method. My father-in-law has cc stage 4 and it has spread to other organs. Two different oncologists have told us that there is nothing else to do for him. So, my in-laws heard of a hospital in Tijuana that specializes in this kind of alternative medicine. I have seen many news articles for and against this method, but I haven’t found any testimonials of people that have actually used it. The only testimonials come from the hospital’s website directly and I don’t necessarily believe them.
If anyone has information about this, please share. This is the last method that my in-laws are willing to try. I just don’t want them to have to travel over there in my father in law’s condition if it’s not a legitimate method.
Thank you and may God bless all of you.
