    Hi folks
    Dennis is nonresponsive but I still talk to him. His nurse tech Chaplin and social worker are God sends. He seems to be in no pain which I am grateful for
    It was intense for him. It’s been emotional for the children and I
    We have been married 24 years and three children-Lauren 24-Dennis. Kyle. 19 and Trevor 10. God bless you-all!! If it weren’t for this site I would of not had the knowledge to be able to see what was going on and get him help when needed. Thank you so much!

    Teresa, you may not be able to ‘converse’ but please remember that he can hear you. Talk to him even if he doesn’t seem to hear, tell him that you love him and tell him that you are going to be ok. He will hear you. Glad Hospice is working out well.
    Teresa, about 1 week before Teddy passed I just had to sit down and write a poem, I think you will relate:

    Time is growing closer, I can see it in his eyes,
    Time is growing closer, but we’ll have no sad ‘goodbyes’.
    Memories abound from our precious moments spent,
    To God it is, I’m sending, the most “precious” package sent.

    These last few months of knowing, we’ve made a honeymoon,
    In my mind a vision of an eternal, beautiful afternoon.
    He is still my charming Prince, who taught me how to love,
    And someday we’ll be together, in Heaven up above.

    I will see him riding stars, I will see him in the moon,
    And someday you will see us dancing to our favorite tune.
    He will touch my face so gently, like he’s known to do,
    It’s not goodbye forever, with memories bad or few.

    All our love, my sweet one, is ours to hold so tight,
    Until once again together on a mystical, magic night,
    We will be again united to celebrate our dance around the sun,
    And know that our eternity together, has only just begun.

    Thanks youre so kind…hes home tonite and resting. I got sad today cause I cant converse with him. The pain meds are probably the reason. I feel like Im slowly losing him. I would like to talk to him again. I made him smile though. A nurse I think will be here tomorrow. Hospice has been very good so far. Paitient and compassionate!

    Dear Teresa, I remember these days vividly. Hold him, talk to him, sing to him, even if he is asleep. You will find strength you never knew you had for you are his wife, his best friend. May you both find peace. Love and hugs to you and Dennis.

    Teresa, I am so very sorry about Dennis, words cannot express. Absolutely we want your supoport on this CC site but right now we want to support you. I am e mailing you now. Sending you huge hugs and so much love. Sometimes winning the battle is knowing when our loved ones have had enough!
