Hi I may be writing prematurely here. I just started ivosidenib this month with no scan yet so I can’t tell you if it’s been a success   I hope your treatment is going alright for you!

I had a reaction after the first week where I broke out in hives from head to toe and waited a week to start up again first at half dose. Seems to be better this time. Dermatologist explained the hives happening  like I had had a shock to my system. Hope there’s no repeat…

My chemo treatment ran for 13 months before we switched. I’m interested that you did both at once. The biggest side effect is fatigue. Same as gemcis. I really don’t know what to expect but I remember being happy they found this mutation. It would be so great if I get some good results. My best to you!

Hi I  have the IDH1 mutation and started a trial at Mayo in June 2021 My trial involves taking gem/cis and then also taking ivosidenib.  I just had my first scan and it showed stable disease.  I didn’t get a lot of clarification from the doctors about the results.  Now I realize stable disease is great but I have to admit I was hoping for some shrinkage of the tumor. I am stage 4 and started gem/cis on 12/1/20 and was wondering what if anything others on ivosidenib are having for results.  Thanks
